The ladder
- LMV — your ordinary car licence, the starting point
- Transport / commercial endorsement — to drive commercially
- HMV / HTV — heavy goods vehicle
- Trailer endorsement — articulated / multi-axle
Each rung generally requires holding the previous one for a qualifying period. Those periods, the class names and the fees are set by the RTO and they change, so confirm your specifics with the RTO or ask us — we walk students through this weekly and will tell you where you actually stand.
